This exciting opportunity is based in Copenhagen, and if we are a match, you’ll find yourself working as part of our dynamic international HR team. Director of Global HR at Hunkemöller

Karlijn, our Global HR Director about her people vision

"For the ambitious Omni-Channel brand that we are, our people are a key success factor. We focus on creating inspiring and truly inclusive working environments. I am convinced we are set for the exciting years ahead!"

Together with your passionate HR team (2 HR Advisors), you’ll manage the day-to-day operations, process flows, and capabilities of all HR-relevant matters across three countries, each with their own language and labor agreements. You’ll take responsibility for improving current ways of working while also looking for new ways to create change for our people, systems, and processes. We pride ourselves on delivering World Class Service, and you’ll lead by example when engaging with Regional- and Store Managers.

Join our journey and contribute to our success by performing these tasks:

  • Ensure daily HR operations run smoothly: Collaborate closely with your team to monitor workload, step into operations when needed, and ensure that daily HR tasks are handled efficiently and effectively across the Nordic region.
  • Innovate and drive local HR strategy: Work closely together with our Managing Director, Head of Retail and Regional Managers to improve current practices and find more efficient ways of working within an increasingly complex market. Use your Scandinavian expertise to tailor strategies that align with our global goals but meet local needs, preparing Hunkemöller for future expansion.
  • Hire for attitude, train for skills: Partner with HR Advisors to fill vacancies with individuals who resonate with our brand values.
  • Lead with insight and expertise: Act as the expert in local labor markets, legal requirements, and remuneration practices. Analyze people-relevant KPIs to foster a great place to work while enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving business results.
  • Embrace global standards while focusing on local impact: With global systems like Workday and the Hunkemöller Online Academy, your role will involve maintaining a smooth transition between legacy systems and new standards, working with international peers to continuously innovate.
  • Cultivate a modern HR culture: Move beyond traditional HR practices to enhance customer service, strengthen Hunkemöller’s brand as an employer, and build a network of inclusive brand ambassadors. Focus on creating a dynamic, supportive environment where people feel empowered.
  • Support broader HR initiatives and projects: Collaborate with our CHRO in the Netherlands and the international HR team on both local and international projects, staying committed to our goal of being a truly social and inclusive business.
  • Directly report to the CHRO: In this role, you will report directly to the CHRO and work closely with the Global HR Business Coordinator, Global L&D Manager, Global Recruitment & Employer Branding Manager, and other local HR Managers to ensure alignment and support across all HR functions.
