In close collaboration with the Head of Buying, lead the team to scope, plan, buy and trade the optimum range by market and channel
Monitor and analyse sales performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize inventory levels and assortment mix.
Pro-actively highlight risks and opportunities and provide support and challenge to the Merchandising / Buying teams to deliver the Business KPIs
Oversee the monthly re-forecasting of the WSSI, co-ordinating updates to the Merchandise and Planning Director for review.
Oversee the management of terminal stock
Be accountable for stock across all trading channels ensuring it is in the right place to meet Business sell through expectations
Work closely with design and product development teams to ensure timely and accurate product launches.
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product differentiation.
Develop and manage seasonal assortment plans, ensuring a balanced and cohesive product offering.
Optimize product flow and allocation strategies to maximize sales and minimize excess inventory.
Deliver markdown management plans that are in line with business KPI’s.
Conduct regular reviews of product performance and make recommendations for adjustments to assortment plans balancing OTB across product types to deliver results continually challenging the team to drive success.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and visual merchandising, to ensure a unified brand message. Working in partnership with Marketing and Ecomm teams to develop a promotions strategy in line with product and seasonal offerings.
Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure timely product deliveries. Develop key strategic partnerships with key suppliers to drive growth and optimise margin.
Provide clear and concise communication to internal teams regarding merchandising strategies and goals.
Collaborate with Outlet and Franchise business areas to support the growth of the business and develop strong relationship with country managers.
Develop and maintain relationships with country managers, understanding their business needs and developing plans to fully support success
Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer behaviours, and competitive landscape.
Translate market insights into actionable strategies to stay ahead of industry developments.
