Senior Engineer

Your key responsibilities:

• Be the SME for the main automation components on the site (Conveyors including Spirals, ASRS, AMRs, Label Applicators, Carton Erectors) and the ancillary services.
• Help manage the third-party providers for the maintenance of the automation, and key ancillary services.
• Procurement of these services alongside The Facilities and Engineering Manager and our Procurement team (contract scoping and negotiation)
• Help with the procurement of spare parts direct from the OEM and not always relying on the system supplier.
• Train and mentor the maintenance technicians on the various equipment types to take over the Preventative Maintenance duties from the suppliers post warranty.
• Project manage changes and upgrades as the site develops.

What you will need

• 10+ years’ experience in an automation and engineering field with an in-depth knowledge of both the hardware and software components of an automated DC.
• Higher level Diploma or Degree in an engineering discipline
• Siemens PLC experience essential.
• Procurement experience, particularly in engineering services, spare parts and consumables
• Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Systems and ability to set-up and use a dedicated site-based system.
• Project Management Skills
• Enjoys working across multiple departments with multiple people
• Fluent in both English and Dutch
• Your previous experience may have come from time with an automated system supplier, user or both.
