Hunkemöller is looking for a passionate Workday Application Expert / Application Manager (IT), based in our international headquarters near Amsterdam (NL). This is a key role ensuring the efficient usage & continuous improvement of our global HR system Workday, which is accessible to over 7000 employees worldwide. Main Responsibilities:

As our Workday Application Expert (IT), you’ll be - together with one colleague - the ‘go-to-person’ for all application related matters and will coordinate between IT, HR, implementation & support partners and internal customers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring a smooth operation of the Workday system based on the design of the business processes and are able to manage quickly to incidents; at the same time run change sprints with our global HR teams. You are fully in touch with the Workday community and follow development in upgrades wanting to influence them based on our needs.

In detail, your tasks will be:

  • Responsibility for managing Workday system modifications, application performance, new releases and maintenance 
  • Resolving application issues and incidents, document solutions and adjust business processes and training materials accordingly
  • Responsibility for reviewing, identifying and delivering new elements, changes or improvements to our existing business processes and  ways of working to meet the current and future needs of the business 
  • Collaborating with IT, HR partners and the support and maintenance partner to identify solutions or to meet new business requests. 
  • Be the key person on Workday reporting. Able to set up and provide dashboards, standard reporting, specific requests and train others internally on how to become super users. Provide regular reporting on performance and cost. 
  • Ensuring update and/or creation of quality end-user and technical documentation 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • 3+ years of Workday experience
  • Good understanding of all Workday modules in general; we have HR Core, Recruitment, Performance & Goals, Comp & Ben, Absence, Reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required. English fluency is mandatory
  • Able to manage different priorities and have high volume of tasks and are used to structure them via a ticket system - JIRA or related experience will be a plus
  • Able to operate in a passionate, very fast-paced, high-stress working environment
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Able to think critically with strong investigative skills 
  • Able to foster effective working relationships and build consensus 
  • Able to research and interpret relevant regulations, guidelines, and standards 
  • A strong focus on business and customer/client
