Business Analyst - IT integrations

The role of IT integrations – Business Analyst fulfills a crucial part in our organization. Hunkemöller is expanding rapidly as an omni-channel player and therefore also our IT landscape is getting bigger and more complex. The integration team is responsible of connecting the systems and keeping it all up and running.

Almost every project within Hunkemöller has a link with integration and ecommerce, logistics, finance and every other department all heavily depend on our team. Fitting in new initiatives into this complex landscape is in most of the cases a challenging task and requires knowledge of our systems and our capabilities on how connect stuff together.

Our business owners are struggling with the translation of business request into IT solution and this is decreasing the efficiency of our developers. This is where the IT integrations – business analyst comes into play.  You will be the bridgebuilder between business and IT when it comes to system integrations.  

Your main tasks will include: 

• Assess the business requests and translate these into clear IT user stories 

• Retrieve all the business requirements from our business stakeholders 

• Define the happy and the unhappy flows 

• Challenge the business owners to also think about the unhappy flows 

• Defines possible solutions and architecture together with your IT colleagues 

• Create and maintain documentation about out IT integrations 

• Coordinate between the different teams (application managers, solution architect, developers, project managers and business stakeholders) 

• Assess issues on our production environment 

• Identify improvements within IT integrations 

Our ideal candidate: 

• Finished an HBO/WO IT related (Bachelor / Master) 

• 5-10 years of relevant working experience 

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in API integration 

• Has experience with working in retail or ecommerce 

• Technical knowledge about IT systems and API interfacing. MuleSoft would be a plus 

• Strong business understanding, especially in retail/ecommerce 

• Analytical and curious mindset and a real problem-solver 

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• You have an excellent command of English and you also speak/understand Dutch 

• Not afraid to say “no” 

• A strong ability to prioritize and focus is critical 

• Able to work in a sometimes chaotic and very dynamic organization
