Hunkemöller is looking for a temporary HR Manager for 5/6 months to support our HR department responsible for the Netherlands from July 2022 at our International HQ in Hilversum.

About the role:

Together with a team of passionate people enthusiasts, you’ll ensure the day-to-day operations are being managed for all HR matters. With that, you’ll ensure you create a great place to work for around 1.700 employees, from which the majority works in our 175 Stores in the Netherlands. Additionally, parts of your team focus on the people matters of our international headquarters and our DC.  

In this role you take responsibility for the current ways of working and will ensure the continuation and implementation of key People projects for example relating to Performance & Talent, the relocation of our DC and other high-value-added HR initiatives to inspire, engage and recognize our employees.

Apart from that, you will lead by example when dealing with the leadership team and any other stake holders and continue to deliver World Class HR Services and valuable people advice.

  • Ensure that the daily HR operations are running smoothly across all areas
    • Oversee  priorities and workload
    • occasionally stepping into the operations yourself – if complexity requires
    • Team management
  • Act in line with our business and HR-strategy
  • Work closely with HR Advisors, the Employability Advisor and the Health & Safety Officer.
  • Manage key people projects for all business units across the full HR cycle
  • Be the key expert and HR sparring partner for our Leadership team and Board
  • Analyze & interpret people relevant KPIs – to create a great place to work whilst being focused on delivering World Class Service to our customers.
  • Work closely with your direct manager, our Global HR Director, as well as our international HR team, on a variety of local and international projects whilst keeping in mind our commitment to being a truly social business.

Our ideal HR Manager is a Hunkemöller brand ambassador & fan who…

  • Has at least 3 years’ experience as an HR / People Manager in a multifaceted business.
  • A real team player and influencer with an energetic, positive outlook on life, who can drive change and be an inspirational leader.
  • Is fast-paced, structured, determined, persuasive and a great communicator.
  • Is pro-active and works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is fluent in English and Dutch
  • Has experience in retail, hospitality or another service focused industry which  is customer focused.
  • Has experience working with a Workers Council and Dutch labor law.
  • Can handle deadlines, targets and multiple priorities.
  • Has experience working with HR systems (ideally Workday, but also beneficial if you gained experience working with other HR/payroll systems or ATS already).
  • Is available as of June/July for a period of 5-6 months at least 32hrs/week
